KMB believes that the future of our community lies in the hands of our children. This belief is the driving force behind the organization’s educational committee. The committee coordinates programs aimed to teach young people how and why they should be good community stewards. Young people also have a great influence on their parents and the entire household so to have them as KMB ambassadors is a wonderful benefit.

Pontchartrain Pete Paper Patrol
This is a program KMB delivers to the students about an eagle name Pete. Pete is unhappy when he sees trash in Mandeville. The students take a pledge to not litter and in return they receive a “We Keep Mandeville Beautiful” car magnet. Call KMB at 624-3165 to request a presentation at your school.

School Paper Recycling
With a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful, KMB launched a paper recycling program in August 2010. Four Mandeville schools currently participate by recycling all white paper in the classrooms. If you are interested in starting a paper recycling program at no cost to your school call KMB at 624-3165.
